DEM Party's statement after AKP meeting

NEWS CENTER - DEM Party made a statement after their meeting with AKP and said: "During the meeting, the expectations of the society and our party were clearly expressed, especially regarding the execution package, the rgulations on ill prisoners and the enactment of these regulations before the feast."

 
A delegation consisting of Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party Co-Chairs Tulay Hatimogullari and Tuncer Bakirhan and Group Deputy Chairpersons Gulistan Kilic Kocyigit and Sezai Temelli met with the AKP delegation. The meeting with AKP Deputy Chairperson Efkan Ala, AKP Spokesperson Omer Celik, Group Chair Abdullah Guler and Group Deputy Chair Ozlem Zengin lasted approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
 
DEM Party made a written statement after the meeting.  The statement of the party is as follows: "During the meeting, a comprehensive exchange of ideas was held regarding the developments in Turkey and the region. In this framework, the developments after the Call for Peace and Democratic Society, Turkey's democratisation process, the meeting of the DEM Party Imrali Delegation with Mr Abdullah Öcalan, the PKK's congress decisions announced on 12 May and the developments that followed were discussed. During the meeting, the steps to be taken for the healthy progress of the process and the role to be assumed by the Parliament were also discussed and mutual evaluations were made regarding the commission to be established. During the meeting, the expectations of the society and our party were clearly expressed, especially regarding the execution package, the regulations on ill prisoners and the enactment of these regulations before the feast. Our political party visits have ended for now. Detailed information and evaluations will be made again in the coming days."
