DERSİM - Mithat Konak, a disabled person who started a march to Dersin from the district of Hozat with his wheelchair called for solidarity with his niece who is being held in prison unlawfully for 3 years.

 

The hearing of Dersim Konak who is being held in Hilvan Type T Closed Prison in Urfa for the last three years, will be held today. Konak is accused of 'being a member of an illegal organization'. Stating that his niece is being illegally detained, Konak's uncle Mithat Konak started a march on his wheelchair from Hozat district to Tunceli Courthouse. Konak has now arrived at Demirkapı road, located in the middle of Hozat and Dersim.

 

NO JUSTICE

 

They have built palaces to ensure justice. But there is no justice said Konak who stated that he carried out this demonstration for his niece, another prison called Hayati Güngören and lawyers Ebru Timtik and Aytaç Ünsal. Stating that his niece was 17 years old and a university student 3 years ago, Konak said: "They are holding her illegally. They do not have any evidence of any crime. They keep postponing the hearings. They keep getting different witnesses everytime and their statements do not match eachother. My niece is still in prison. She was studying medicine. They have ruined her life. This is why I did that demonstration.

 

Konak stated that everyone must hear about this injustice. After his statement, Konak went to Tunceli Courthouse.
