MALATYA - A 5.7 magnitude earthquake has hit the Pütürge district of Turkey’s eastern Malatya province, the country’s Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute announced.
The earthquake occurred at around 12:37, with its epicenter at a latitude of 38.2160 degrees north and a longitude of 38.7293 degrees east, and at a depth of 5,02 km.
Surrounding provinces also felt the effect of the earthquake, especially Elazığ and Diyarbakır.
