BATMAN - İkiköprü Municipality Co-Mayors Osman Karabulut and Hatice Taş, who were dismissed from office and replaced by a trustee, were released from prison. 

 

Osman Karabulut and Hatice Taş, Co-Mayors of İkiköprü Town Municipality of Beşiri district, who were detained on July 22 within the scope of an investigation carried out by the Batman Public Prosecutor's Office, were arrested and put in prison by the court. The Co-Mayors who were replaced by a trustee with the decision of the Ministry of Interior, have been released from prison with the interim decision of the court.

 

It was learned that the court determined a bail for the co-mayors whose lawyers applied for release. It was also learned that while Co-Mayor Karabulut paid his bail and was released from prison, Co-Mayor Taş who did not pay the bail, decided to be held in prison. Upon the objection of the lawyers, Taş was also released from prison.
