NEWS CENTER - Vice President of TİP, Barış Atay, who was targeted by Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu who insulted him on Twitter, was attacked. 

 

Vice President of Worker's Party (TİP) of Turkey and Hatay MP Barış Atay was attacked by a group in the Kadıköy district of İstanbul after Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu insulted him from Twitter. According to the information obtained, a group of five attacked Atay, calling him a treator, while he was leaving a cafe he went with his friends. Atay was taken to Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital for treatment after the attack.

 

Making a statement after treatment, Atay said: "I am ok right now. There is nothing serious. We will make a statement on Tuesday."

 

It was also stated that non of the attackers are under custody.

 

TİP MADE A STATEMENT

 

TİP said: "Our Vice President Barış Atay, who was targeted by Süleyman Soylu during the day, was attacked by an 'unidentified' group tonight. Our comrade is in good health. Thank you for your messages of solidarity."

 

SOYLU INSULTED ATAY

 

Atay tagged Minister Soylu regarding the screenshot of the message of specialized sergeant Musa Orhan who raped İpek Er, causing her death and said: "You protected a serial rapist. We will never allow this to be forgotton."

 

Replying Atay, Soylu said: "Follower of PKK and DHKP-C who became a HDP MP with the instruction of rapist PKK; I am no rapist protector but you are a complete rapist. Tuma's protector, be careful don't get caught."
