VAN – The hunger strike launched by the prisoners in differen prisons enters 28th day. 7 prisoners from Van joins the action.
The prisons in Turkey is on the agenda with hunger strikes once again. The prisoners started the hunger strike on November 27 against the worsened conditions due to the pandemic and the continued isolation imposed on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The rotating hunger strike continues in groups carried out for 5 days for each group. The sixth group took over the hunger strike action.
7 PRISONERS ON HUNGER STRIKE IN VAN
There are 3 prisoners in Van High Security Closed Prison, 3 prisoners in Van Type F Closed Prison and one prisoner in Van Type T Closed Prison on hunger strike.
The names of the prisoners from Van Type F Closed Prison are Aydın Kuş, Sinan Bitik, Rezan Mahmut. Hasan Akman, İzbat Oran and Seyithan Çalışır will take over the hunger strike 5 days later.
The names of the prisoners from the other two prisons could not be learned.
