VAN- Bitlis-Hakkari Chamber of Pharmacists Chairman Hayrullah Fikret Baransel, who stated that the medicament crisis started with the increase in the exchange rate, said that this is the first time they have faced a crisis at such a high dose.

With the increase in the exchange rate in recent days, a medicament crisis has begun to occur. According to the records of the Turkish Pharmacists Association (TEB), 645 kinds of medicaments that should be on the pharmacy shelves cannot be obtained. There are serious problems in the supply of antipyretic medicaments, medicaments used extensively in the upper respiratory tract, and drops used in nasal congestion. Hayrullah Fikret Baransel, Chairman of the Van-Bitlis-Hakkari Chamber of Pharmacists, evaluated the increasing medicaments crisis.

Stating that there has been a medicanets crisis in Turkey for many years, but the medicaments crisis has reached its peak this year, Baransel said that one of the main reasons for this is the fluctuation in the exchange rate and the depreciation of the TL. Baransel said, “When it comes to health, it is not very correct to express medicanetss in numbers. If a patient cannot reach his medicine, we look at it from the point of view that all other medicines are meaningless for him, and we look at the event by thinking that all medicines are important. However, when we look at the event from this point, we see that 645 medicanets are not available in the market, and this is a very worrying situation for us. There are also children's medicines, antibiotics and various chronic diseases medicines in 645 items. It is a serious problem for us that we cannot access medicanets, which is one of the most effective treatment methods in health, and that we cannot reach the vaccines necessary for treatment. Another medicanets that will pose a big problem for us is children's syrups. Those syrups cannot be found and we are experiencing great difficulties.”

WE ARE ON TARGET

Stating that they are shown as the address in every crisis experienced, Baransel said, “When medicanets prices increase, we become the first target. In fact, the reason why we have come to this state shows that the system is not healthy. Even in pandemic conditions, we distributed free masks and did not close our pharmacies for a day, but we are still shown as guilty. "We are tired of being targeted first in every situation.”
