ŞIRNEX - An investigation has been launched into 13 people due to the "Herne pêş" march sung during the trustee protest in the Hezex district.

The march that was planned to be held on June 30 in the Hezex (İdil) district of Şirnex (Şırnak) against the appointment of a trustee to the Colemêrg (Hakkari) Municipality, which is governed by the Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM Party), was prevented due to the "ban" decision of the governor's office. DEM Party members who were prevented from marching to the municipality building protested the ban by singing the "Herne pêş" march.

Şırnak Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into 13 people due to the "Herne pêş" march. DEM Party Hezex Municipality Co-chair Doğan Adıbelli, DEM Party District Co-chair Songül Erden, Peace Mothers Assembly, Free Women's Movement (TJA) and 13 people including municipal council members gave statements at the District Police Department as part of the investigation.

THE MARCH TO PRAISE THE PKK!

The 13 people were asked the following questions: "Who organized the unauthorized action or was there any order from anywhere/person to carry it out?", "Who selected this march as an element of crime?" and "What was your purpose in singing and accompanying the march in a way that praises/glorifies the PKK/KCK terrorist organization within the group?"

'KURDISH MARCH IS NOT A CRIME'

TJA activist Meryem Eşkara, who was investigated for singing the march "Herne pêş", reacted to the investigation. Eşkara pointed out that the anthem was not a crime and said: "Our songs and anthems were banned before. Now they want to ban our songs and anthems from the 90s. However, these songs of ours are not banned. This anthem that is the subject of the accusation is on YouTube and everywhere. We wanted to march against the appointment of trustees, they did not allow it and we sang the anthem to boost the morale of our friends. We do not accept this."
