RIHA - Commenting on the latest situation in North and East Syria, "Turkey wants to liquidate Kurdish gainst before the pieces fall into place in Syria," says Journalist Dîlan Dîlok.

The attacks launched by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) on Aleppo on November 27th resulted in the end of the 61 years Baath regime. While HTS launched attacks to topple the regime, Turkey and the SMO, which it founded and supported, targeted areas in the North and East Syrian Administration.

Dîlan Dîlok, one of the journalists in the region, evaluating the developments in Syria, where political uncertainty continues, said that in North and East Syria, public administrators and military forces in the region surrendered to the Autonomous Administration. Emphasizing that Russia, the ally of the Baathist regime, is the second loser of the war, Dîlan Dîlok said: “The Russians withdrew their forces from many areas; Kobanê, Deir ez-zor, Minbic to an area near Qamişlo Airport. It seems that Russia is one of the losers in Syria along with Bashar al-Assad.”

Dîlan Dîlok noted that with the capture of Aleppo and Hama by HTS, the Syrian government started to hand over the administration to the armed groups, “Except for the war launched by the Turkish state against the Kurds, the conflicts are largely over. At the moment, the opposition forces continue to carry out executions, torture and arrests against the pro-regime, Alawite groups, in short, against those who are not their own. The conflicts with the Kurds are not a direct conflict between the gangs fed and trained by the Turkish state and HTS,” she said.

'TURKEY ITSELF HAS STEPPED IN'

Dîlan Dîlok stated that Turkey is mobilizing the transition process to realize its own goals and said: “But most importantly, Turkey wants to liquidate the Kurdish gains before the pieces fall into place in Syria. If it cannot, it has unleashed the paramilitary gang groups it has been nurturing for years, motivated by Kurdish enmity, against the Kurds in order to limit this. When these proved to be insufficient, he directly intervened himself with his airplanes, UCAVs and artillery.”

Dîlan Dîlok stated that Turkey and the SNA, which it supports, have been attacking the Manbij Canton for 14 days and said: “The Turks thought they would get results in a short time. However, in the face of the strong resistance of the Manbij Military Council, they have stepped back from their 'victory' they declared days ago and have come to the statements that the clashes are continuing. However, they are trying to create different facts by intensively using psychological warfare tactics through the press. The gangs, supported by UCAVs, airplanes and artillery, have not been able to break the resistance for 13 days and have been repulsed from some areas they entered. Currently, intense clashes are taking place in the Manbij region. Although it has the appearance of a frontal war at times, in essence, war is being waged in the region with the new era guerrilla tactics.”

'THE AIM IS TO MOBILIZE AGAINST KURDS'

“Looking at the form of resistance in Minbij, whatever the outcome in the coming days, the Turkish state and its gangs will not find the strength to make a new move.” Dîlan Dîlok said and stressed that the main purpose of the attack on Manbij is to mobilize Arab nationalism against the Kurds in North and East Syria.

In areas such as Reqa, Tebqa and Dêrazor, the chaos in some rural areas is exaggerated said Dîlan Dîlok and added: “They aim to create chaos. However, the Asayish Forces are in control of the situation in the area.”

ISRAELI ATTACKS

Dîlan Dîlok emphasized that Israel has been bombing military facilities and airports in Syria and North and East Syria since November 8 in order to prevent the new administration from increasing its military capacity and said: “For a few days, Israel has positioned its military forces in certain areas in Syria, going beyond the Golan. By liquidating critical facilities all over Syria, it aims to leave nothing in the hands of the new administration that will emerge. As far as we can see, Israel will be directly involved in the new system to be formed in Syria. It is likely that a chaotic process will take place in the coming period.”

'KURDISH THESES ARE THE IDEAL SOLUTION'

Underlining that HTS aims to establish a Sharia-based state, Dîlan Dîlok continued as follows: "Although HTS leader Colani gives moderate messages and draws a pro-conciliation image, considering the cabinet members of the new government announced, it is understood that they are trying to establish an Islamic state based on Sharia. This is an indication that the coming period will bring very serious problems. This is unlikely to be accepted by the peoples in Syria and the international powers. Although the Turkish state tries to get involved in the process with the discourse of Syria's territorial integrity through Kurdish hostility, it is obvious that the Kurdish theses are the ideal solution. For this reason, the Turkish state's attempts to direct the gangs towards the Kurds and their desire to weaken the Kurds before Damascus has fallen are due to the fact that they see this situation."
