RIHA - Journalist Mansur Adalı pointed out that the problems cannot be solved without the recognition of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and said: "If Syria is to be united, the Autonomous Administration must take part in all processes."

Developments in the Syrian arena remain on the agenda. It is a matter of curiosity as to where the developments evolving due to the fall of the 61-year-old Baath regime and the attacks on the cities of North and East Syria after the attacks of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) will evolve.

Evaluating the developments in the field, journalist Mansur Adalı said that the process is similar to what happened during the Gulf War in the early 1990s. Adalı said: "The first and second world wars were wars of hegemonic powers to establish dominance over the world. The current process is the continuation of the 3rd World War, which was initiated by the same goals and powers in the 1990s. Started on 2 August 1990 with the Gulf War, the war will have a new round and a continuation. There have been processes such as the collapse of the Soviet Union, the end of the bipolar world, the international conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, the Twin Tower attacks, the US intervention in Iraq, the Arab Spring, the Rojava Revolution, and ISIS taking control of a large geography. SDF ended ISIS terrorism at great cost. There were many developments in the Israel-Palestine war. There have been many moves and rounds in the past 34 years. What is happening now is one of these."

'EVERYONE IS CAUTIOUS'

Stating that the recent developments in Syria directly affect the Russia-Ukraine war and Iran, "If Russia and Iran have not given up their aim of establishing hegemony in the region, they may attempt to intervene again in the future after completing their preparations. However, these powers have no concern for the peoples of the Middle East to live in a democratic system. Repeated and tried projects are being re-imposed. There is a danger that the HTS project will turn into one of these. At the moment, everyone is cautious and trying to understand. It is a matter of curiosity where this will evolve. It is clear that it is the internal dynamics that will determine the process," he said.

'IT WOULD BE NAIVE TO EXPECT STABILITY'

"It would be naive to say that the Baath regime has fallen and everything is over" said Adalı and added: "This has no equivalent in the field. International powers in the Middle East - including Syria - can never run their horses as they wish. They cannot do whatever they want against the will of the peoples. The peoples have always been and will always be in resistance. If practical steps are taken in the direction of democratic change and the rights of identity and beliefs are secured, perhaps some developments will take place. However, the fact that the current interim government is based on Sharia law, and that it is putting into practice practices and policies such as the morality police, which have been bankrupt in the past, is evidence that this process is not developing in favour of the peoples. It would be naive to expect that stability will be achieved in such a development of the process."

KURD-ARAB ALLIANCE

Stating that the strategic alliance between Kurds and Arabs is also targeted in the process, Adalı said: "The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) maintains its position in the field with all its components. In the last 35 years, some governments have disappeared and disappeared into history. There is a force (Kurds in Syria) equipped with the ideas of leader Abdullah Öcalan. Despite major wars since 1978, it is still standing and in a strong position. The Syrian Democratic Forces have also been maintaining their role as an effective power in the region with alliances since 2012. With the Kurdish-Arab alliance, there are attacks on small groups. There are also these attacks within the Kurds. There are also such situations within the Arab people themselves. These days, the attacks against the Kurdish-Arab alliance are provocative attacks. The strategic alliance continues to exist and today, all the unions within the SDF is taking their place at the front line. Many Arab fighters are martyred every day. Therefore, some of the allegations in the press have no equivalent in the field. There is the reality of the Turkish state, which is deliberately destabilising the region. They are the ones who develop these perception games. Their main aim is to develop a Kurdish-Arab war."

'THE WORLD OWES A DEBT OF LOYALTY TO SDF'

"The world owes a debt of loyalty to YPG and SDF," Adalı said, pointing to SDF's fight against ISIS. Adalı continued as follows: "The peoples of the world should not forget this struggle against ISIS. The presence of ISIS has increased in recent days. Turkey's initiatives have revived ISIS. The images of those carrying ISIS symbols in the SMO were broadcasted on live broadcasts. It is a matter of curiosity what will happen to ISIS prisoners and places like Hol Camp. Hol Camp stands in the centre like a bomb with the pin pulled. The Turkish state has always been eager to reach these camps and export gangs all over the world. ISIS members must be tried in accordance with international legal norms. For this, the Autonomous Administration must be recognised. The new Damascus government should recognise the Autonomous Administration and not play Turkey's game. Problems can be solved through negotiation and dialogue. There is intense diplomacy traffic in the region. The new government should be inclusive. There is no one from the Autonomous Administration in the interim government. This is not inclusive. If the Autonomous Administration is not included in international meetings, this will cause instability. If Syria is to be united, the Autonomous Administration must take part in all processes."
