Reactions to the targeted murder of journalists Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin, who were following the developments in North and East Syria, where Turkey and the Syrian National Army (SNA) continue to attack.
In Riha (Urfa) and Çewlîg (Bingöl), Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) and Peace Mothers participated in statements chanting slogan "Free Press cannot be silenced". In the statement in Riha following statement made: "The free press, which seeks to make the truth known to the public under the most difficult conditions, makes a serious effort to make the truth known all over the world. Because of this, many journalists have been murdered and arrested. Despite these pressures and persecutions, the struggle for a free press has grown and will grow. Nazım and Cihan have always been the voice of truth and Rojava."
In the statement in Çewlig, it was emphasised that the murder of journalists is a crime against humanity and public opinion must react.
