NEWS CENTRE - Despite the PKK's declaration of a ceasefire, Turkey continued its attacks on Linki Mountain in Amediye district with helicopter bombardments.
Although the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) declared a ceasefire yesterday and the The People's Defense Forces (HPG) Command announced today that the ceasefire call covers all its forces, Turkey's attacks continue. According to a report in Rojnews, Kamaran Osman, a member of the Community Peacemaker Teams (CPT), said that Turkey bombed Linkî Mountain near Derelok town in Amediye district of Dohuk city with helicopters at 01.40 am at night. Osman stated that the people were not harmed in the attack, but noted that the people were experiencing fear and anxiety due to the fact that the attack took place near Derelok.
Osman stated that Turkey has bombed the Kurdistan Region 8 times since the historic call of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan on 27 February.
