ISTANBUL - ISIG announced that 164 workers lost their lives in work murders in June.
Worker Health and Worker Safety Assembly (ISIG) announced the report on work murders in June. In June, 164 workers lost their lives in labour murders.
While the province with the highest number of work murders was Istanbul, most of the work murders occurred due to traffic accidents, crushing and falling from height.
According to the report, 15 of those who lost their lives were women, 149 were men, 4 were refugees and 5 were migrants.
Information on the deaths according to the sectors of labour is as follows: "Construction 24 percent, agriculture-forestry 23 percent, transport 10 percent, municipal general works 10 percent, mining 5 percent."
