WAN – Stating that women will lead the process, Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) Oznur Evşn and Sukran Sen stated that women can build a safe and liveable world with the realistation of the women’s liberationist paradigm.

The Peace and Democratic Society Process initiated by Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues with important steps. All segments of the society are expressing their opinions and demands on how the process should proceed and how it can achieve success. Women, who have assumed the responsibility of being the subjects of the process and the builders of peace, have repeatedly stated that they will organise peace and freedom.

PROCESS AND WOMEN

Drawing attention to the pioneering role of women, Oznur Evin said that they will steer the process. Reminding that the Kurdish people strongly embraced and supported Abdullah Öcalan's call, Öznur Evin said, "Since the beginning of the process, Mr Abdullah Öcalan has repeatedly called on women to be the pioneers and subjects of the process. We are developing policies that will respond to Mr Öcalan's call."

She called especially for women to embrace the process and stated that the Peace and Democratic Society Process will positively affect everyone. Underlining that the process should be accelerated, Öznur Evin pointed out that legal and judicial steps should be taken in line with the demands of all segments of society.

BESÊ HOZAT EMPHASIS

Emphasising that women will lead peace, Oznur Evin said: "The weapons were burnt under the leadership of Besê Hozat. The most important issue that emerged here was that women were at the forefront, in a pioneering role. The presence of women is important in every field. At this point, it is important for us that women are in a position to support and lead peace. "

PARADIGMATIC CHANGE

Sukran Sen pointed out that the process is being followed carefully by the world and underlined that the process is not only a turning point for the Kurdish political struggle, but also a declaration of a paradigmatic change. "The process proposes a perspective that is redefined on the axis of building a democratic society," Şükran Şen said.

'OCALAN MADE WOMEN PIONEERS'

Pointing to the historic ceremony, Şükran Şen emphasised that the fact that women led the ceremony should be perceived as an important message and said, "Women became pioneers with the strategy of Mr Abdullah Öcalan."

'WE ARE SUBJECTS, NOT OBJECTS'

Şükran Şen pointed out that women will have a safe and livable life with the realisation of the women's libertarian paradigm: "Now everyone should know that life will be created on the axis of free women. The woman has proved that she is not an object but a subject with a historical call. In the last year, massacres of women have increased in every aspect. We are getting more organised against these attacks."
