Alleged torture in detention: Yoldaş taken to hospital

DIYARBAKIR - Ahmet Yoldaş who was detained in a house raid in Bağlar where a person lost his life was taken to hospital due to torture.
 
 
Diyarbakir Provincial Police Department teams raided the home of Ahmet and Birsen Yoldaş yesterday in Diyarbakır, Bağlar.  Mücahit Yılmaz, who was born in Kızıltepe, Mardin, lost his life in the raid and the couple Ahmet and Birsen Yoldaş were detained.
 
 
 
While the body of Mücahit Yılmaz who lost his life is being kept at Diyarbakır Research and Education Hospital, Yılmaz's family said to have confirmed that it is their son but could not yet identified the body because they were not allowed to see him yet. Yılmaz family are said to be applying to Chief Prosecutor's office for the identification process.
 
Meanwhile, Ahmet Yoldaş who was detained in the house raid, was reportedly subjected to severe torture in the Diyarbakir Police Department. While Yoldaş was taken to Diyarbakır Military Hospital for treatment, his wife Birsen Yoldaş is still at Diyarbakır Security TEM Branch.
