Women will take to the streets against abuse amnesty

İZMİR - Women are Strong Together Initiative will carry out many protests on May 20, emphasizing 'There is no amnesty for abuse'.
 
Women are Strong Together Initiative will take to the streets on May 20 in İstanbul, Ankara, Kocaeli, İzmir, Antakya, Muğla and Didim with their purple ribbons. The women who will use the purple ribbons to maintain social distance , will drew attention to the new law on execution and the abuse amnesty bill. Women have made a call and said: "The criminals were released with the new law on execution and now they want to legitimize abuse by enacting the abuse law. We will not remain silent against those who say 'one time won't hurt'! We are in action against abuse."
 
Places and times of the protests are as follows: İstanbul- Eminönü Pier in Kadıköy, Antakya- Uğur Mumcu Square, Kocaeli- in front of Municipality Commercial Complex, İzmir- in front of Karşıyaka Pier at 19.00. 
 
Ankara- in front of Çankaya City Hall building at 12.30, Muğla- in front of Menteşe Garanti Bank, Didim- City Square at 17.30.
