Violations in Suluca Prison

ADANA - Prisoners in Suluca High Security Closed Prison stated that they are subjected to oral searches, social activities are prevented and Kurdish conversations between them are not allowed. 

Prisoners in Suluca High Security Closed Prison in Adana, which became operational on 4 aıgıst 2022, face many violations of their rights, 24 political prisoners are imprisoned in the prison and the main violations are oral searches and handcuffed medical examinations. Communication between prisoners is also prevented. 
 
Prisoners conveyed the violations they face through their families. The violations reported by the prioners are as follows: "We are not allowed to speak Kurdish among ourselves. We are subjected to oral searches. Our request for courses and workshops are not acccepted on the grounds of 'austerity measures'. We are made to clean the prison. When opposed, the right to chat for 1 hour a day is preventing. We are searched  times a month. There is a prison library, but books are not brought when requested. We live in isolation within isolation."
