ISTANBUL - Speaking at HDK's "No to war" forum, representatives of political parties stated that the cause of the multiple crises in Turkey is the ongoing war. "We embrace the legitimate self-defence of the peoples of Rojava and Syria and pledge to fight together," message given.

Peoples's Democratic Congress (HDK) organised a forum at a hotel in Taksim with the slogan "No to the imperialist war imposed on the peoples from Palestine to Syria, from Gaza to Rojava!".

SILENCE IN THE FACE OF GENOCIDE ATTACKS

HDK Co-Spokesperson Meral Danış Beştaş stated that the war that started in the Middle East is growing with the partnership of capitalists and collaborators and that the war in the Middle East is dragging the people into poverty.

"The peoples, who have not yet recovered from the great damage caused by ISIS barbarism and have not been able to erase it from their memories, are now faced with new ISIS gangs that have changed their form. The effects of the great massacre of the Yazidi people are still continuing and the children who are still wanted to be enslaved are wanted to be sold over the deep internet. Humanity is still silent in the face of such a genocide. The refugee crisis continues. Hundreds of Syrians fleeing the war died on their journeys to make a life overseas. Millions of them are discriminated against in Turkey. A great population crisis is emerging."

Meral Danış Beştaş said that the Palestinian people are in the line of fire but Turkey still maintains trade relations with Israel.

Cause of the multiple crises in Turkey is the war said Meral Danış Beştaş and added: "Those who say no to the war are in prison! The great resistance in Rojava and the gains of humanity are now at risk. We must speak out together and stop the war. This war will only end with the unity of the peoples. The cause of the multiple crisis in Turkey is the ongoing war. Therefore, let's join hands together and stop the relentless war in our geography."

Feray Mertoğlu, Co-Chair of the Socialist Re-Liberation Party (SYKP), who participated in the forum, stated that the peoples should fight together against the ongoing war.

Democratic Alevi Association (DAD) Co-chair Kadriye Doğan said: "We need to organise the demand for peace very strongly and raise it in the fields."

Pointing out that the call for "No to war" is very important in such a process, Revolutionary Party Vice President Gamze Taşçı said: "As revolutionaries, we will fight against the war against peoples, women, labourers and children. We embrace the just and legitimate self-defence of the peoples in Rojava and Syria and promise to fight together. We will fight together and wing together."
