Attorneys who were not allowed in the court room broke through the police barriers and entered the hall, demanding the riot police to be removed from their seats. The hearing was adjourned for an hour.
Police attacked the press release organized in İstanbul regarding the Kobané Case hearing held today in Ankara. Dozens of people were detained including our reporter Enes Sezgin and Artı TV reporters.
Eşref Öz, who was on hunger strike against the isolation in İmralı in Lavrio Camp in Greece, died as a result of a heart attack.
Attorneys leaving the court room because their colleagues were not allowed in the court room said: "We left the court room to avoid being a party in this unlawfullness."
There were some tension bewteen the court board and the attorneys, when all attorneys of the case were not allowed in the court room. Attorneys protested the situation and left the court room.
In the courtroom where the Kobané Case will be held, police officers sat at the benches reserved for attorneys while attorneys were not allowed in the court room on grounds that there is no room in the courtroom. Attorneys of HDP demanded all lawyers to be allowed in the room.
Police used violence against Mesopotamia News Agency reporters following the press release in front of the court house. Police said: "We have orders from our director. We will not allow Mesopotamia Agency (MA) to follow the hearing."
Underlining that the Kobané Case is a revenge case, HDP Co-Chair Mithat Sancar said: "It is a case that is the product of the government that could not get over the defeat of ISIS in Kobané. We will frustrate the Kobané Case together."
Stating that Kobané Case is a continuation of Şeyh Sait, Seyit Rıza and 49's Case, the Bar Presidents said: "Will the judges be able to handle this case?"
Along with HDP Co-Chairs Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar, HDP will be following the Kobané hearing to be held in the Sincan Prison Campus with full complement.
Scores of people including HDP executives were detained in Diyarbakır with raids on their homes.
The meeting discussed the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan and violations of rights in Turkey’s prisons.
Stressing that Turkey has exhausted its economy waging war against the Kurds, Ehmed Pelda said: "If the Kurdish problem has been resolved, we would have been discussing economy, culture, science, health, ecology.."
Stating that women hve suffered the most due to the Armenian Genocide that took place 106 years ago, Ani Kalk said: "We feel the pain of our mothers in our bones even though we didn't know too much. We remember it everyday. We feel it in our bones everyday."
The hunger strike prisoners started against the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues on day 148. The hunger strike action in Maxmur is on day 127 while it is day 110 in Greece.
