Ahead of the commemoration to be held in Amed for Ali Haydar Kaytan and Rıza Altun, many citizens have set out from various cities.
Cizitens attending the commemoration of Ali Haydar Kaytan and Rıza Altun in Dêrsim said that there will be no unilateral peace and the state should take steps.

There are 80 ill prisoners in prisons in the Mediterranean Region. IHD member lawyer Muammer Derince said that preventing the release of prisoners is “de facto execution”.
Stating they will continue the struggle of Ali Haydar Kaydan and Rıza Altun, politicians said that the process has a great responsibility on both themselves and the society.
Citizens in Cizîr, who support the initiatives for peace and solution, emphasised that the state must take steps for the process to succeed.
Rezan Sarıca, lawyer of Abdullah Öcalan pointed out that the legal existence of Kurds should be secured and said, “A new page has been opened, the problems accumulated due to the Kurdish issue should be eliminated.”
IHD Dêrsim Branch co-chair Nurhat Yeşil said, "At this stage, the PKK has done its part. The next stage will be the steps of the state and the government."
Commenting on the PKK's congress decision, EP Turkey Rapporteur Nacho Sánchez Amor said: "This opportunity should not be spoiled. At this stage, the Parliament should also be involved in the process."

Speaking at the commemoration programme organised PKK's pioneer cadres Ali Haydar Kaytan and Rıza Altun, Mehmet Şirin Tunç stated that Kaytan and Altun gave their lives for the freedom of the people and said, "They never bowed down".
