The people of Makhmur organised a march against the embargo and arbitrary approaches of the Iraqi government. People stated that they will not submit to oppression and started a tent protest.

Stating that Makhmur Camp has been under the embargo of the Iraqi government for 36 days, Ehmed Şehbaz, Co-Chair of the People's Assembly, said that the decision taken upon the request of Turkey violates the laws of Iraq and that they will use their democratic rights if the embargo is not lifted.
İffet Zuğurli, who witnessed the PKK's founding congress, said that the PKK's first congress awakened the Kurds and that the last congress would bring peace. Zuğurli said, "I want to host Leader Apo here again, in our home on the Fis Plain."
Fatma Özbay, an ill prisoner held in Şakran Women's Closed Prison, was released after 29 years.
Mehmet Şirin Tunç, a member of the "Peace and Democratic Solution Group" who came to Turkey with the call of Abdullah Öcalan, pointed out that the PKK's decision was historical and said, "A ground must be created that will enable Mr Öcalan to work in a comfortable environment. An approach on this basis will lead to the deepening and rooting of peace."
Makhmur People's Assembly delegation was detained on their return to Baghdad.
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç responded to request for Öcalan to meet with journalists and politicians and said, “What needs to be done within this legal framework can be carried out.”
Commemoration for Ali Haydar Kaytan and Rıza Altun continue on their second day in the house where Altun grew up in Ankara's Tuzluçayır district.
